My Philosophy...
My journey to becoming a photographer started at a young age. I loved taking photos first on film, and eventually entering the digital realm. In college, I majored in Art and took photography courses for enjoyment. I was trained and hired by Sears Portrait studio as a portrait photographer in 2012. After graduating with my Art Education Degree from Illinois State University, I was immersed in my full-time teaching career, and doing photography for family and friends on the side. I decided to once again turn my passion into an extra source of income for my family and launched my website in 2014. In the past few years, as we have entered the season of becoming parents, we’ve experienced life’s greatest joys and have also walked through the darkest valleys. Our story is one of joy, love, loss, and hope. My preferred photography style is bright sharp focused photography, that looks clean and captures your most authentic and natural selves. I am a natural light photographer, who loves dreamy soft focus backdrops, and warm peachy skin tones. I prefer to work outdoors and love incorporating nature, and interesting architecture into my poses. Nothing fills me with more happiness than being able to provide you with photos of your family, memories, and little ones that you will cherish for the rest of your life.
